Terms
Plain terms for a small community site. See also our privacy notice.
What this site is
This site is run by a lay initiative of Catholic families in Fourways, to show the Archdiocese of Johannesburg how many households in the area would benefit from a parish here. It is not an official project of the Archdiocese, and nothing on it should be read as a decision, promise, or commitment on the Archdiocese’s part.
By using this site
You agree to use it for its actual purpose: being counted, sharing it with others who might benefit from a parish here, and reading what it says about the appeal. Submitting the form, pledging support, or leaving a comment through it is you telling us it is true and it is yours to give. Please do not submit information on someone else’s behalf without their knowledge, or use the form, the count, or anything on this site to mislead, spam, or misrepresent who you are.
The count and the pledge
Numbers shown on this site are drawn from what households tell us, not independently verified addresses or parish records, though we do check for obvious duplicates and spam before anything is reported. A pledge made through this site is a statement of intent, not a payment — no money is collected here, and nothing is charged to you. It exists to show whether this community could support a parish and a priest, which is one of the questions the Archdiocese asked us to answer.
Your information
What we collect, why, and how it is kept are set out in full in our privacy notice, which forms part of these terms. By submitting the form you agree to both.
No warranty
This site is provided as it is, by volunteers, without any guarantee that it will be available, error-free, or lead to any particular outcome from the Archdiocese. We take reasonable care with what we publish, but we do not accept liability for decisions made on the basis of it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of South Africa. If any part of them turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands.

Any question about these terms, or about the site, should go to Chinazo Onwu, who is also the Information Officer named in our privacy notice.
